About

My name is Savannah and I recently graduated from the University of Michigan School of Information where I focused on user experience design and minored in digital studies. In my major I gained technical skills of applying human centered design in real world scenarios and my minor allowed me to explore more of the history of digital spaces and start brainstorming what the future might look like. 

UX is important to me because I have a passion for people and enjoy discovering the balance between functionality, accessibility, and design. As a little kid, I dreamed of owning my own inn and early on thought I would work in hospitality. I soon learned that this childhood dream of curating a perfect vacation experience for others could be applied more broadly through user experience. 

In my time at Michigan, I have worked within the communications department learning different aspects of Web Design and helping enhance the accessibility of the content we promote. In my personal life, I am involved in interfaith work and I believe this demonstrates my passion for celebrating the differences in people and bridging the gap between communities that have the potential to lift each other up.

Ultimately, I am passionate about leading a creative lifestyle through design and creative problem-solving in and outside my career. I love to do DIY projects, explore my creativity through interior design, fiction writing, and most recently filming. I’ve never been one to back down from a complicated problem and hope to take every opportunity to learn. In the future, I hope to work for a company that is mission-driven, where my skills and passions can be used to drive this mission forward.
